Death Cab for Cutie... for the best band name, possibly, after Duran Duran. Though Queens of the Stone Age and The Dandy Warhols give 'em tough competition.
Also the Michel Gondry video for White Stripes' "Hardest Button to Button" so majorly kicks ass it's not even funny.

No! you're kidding right... but are they any good too, coz all the aforementioned people are... as my cousin's canadian friends put it "sweet".
You havent seen the movie "O Brother! Where Art Thou" ?
They are featured in that and they may not be "sweet" in the canadian sense of the word, but crisp nevertheless.
I have actually, they probably escaped my attention in the general chaos and madness of the film. I recall loving the music from the movie... hmmm... there's always this pervasive sense of melancholy in george clooney films tho' somehow... it always seems like nothing good will come out of it
